Australia Post's Courier service has the following special rules or restrictions:

Item restriction

Prohibited goods: including but not limited to explosives, inflammables, toxic substances, radioactive substances, live animals, firearms and ammunition, pirated or infringing goods, etc. In addition, Australian Customs controls some imports, such as crude diamonds and suicide devices imported from Liberia are absolutely prohibited; Crayons containing asbestos fibres and all articles containing asbestos fibres are also banned.

Restricted Items: Hazardous items generally require prior carrier approval and compliance with relevant packaging and labeling guidelines, and can only be shipped via eparcel domestic standard and express. Alcohol also requires prior approval to be transported.

Packaging and marking requirements

Packing requirements: Items should be properly packed to prevent damage during transportation. For fragile, easily damaged or easily leaked items, need to use sufficient cushioning material for protection. If the goods are imported into Australia in wooden cases, the wood must be fumigated and the fumigation certificate sent to the consignee.

Labeling requirements: All goods should be labeled or labeled with the origin, if not specified in accordance with the requirements of the origin will not be allowed to import into Australia.

Document requirement

Customs clearance documents: If the value of the goods is more than 1000AUD, it is best to attach a full set of business documents, including invoices, product descriptions and a letter of authorization from the consignee to clear customs on behalf of the consignee. The invoice shall contain detailed information of the recipient, sender and item, such as the sender's company name, address, contact person, contact number, recipient's company name, address, contact person, contact number, item name, etc. The company's invoice with the goods should fill in the name of the actual sending company, and the invoice has the corresponding company's title LOGO; The actual sender's name and information should be included in the personal shipment invoice. Declaration Requirements: All exports of goods with a value of $2000 and above must be declared with the Australian Customs Service. Regardless of the value, any goods that require an export license must be declared on the export declaration. For international express delivery, it is necessary to fill in the customs declaration form, describing the cargo information in detail, including the nature and value of the item, and the description should be accurate and clear, avoid using vague expressions.

Size and weight restrictions

Weight limit: Different express service types have different weight limits on parcels, the general weight limit of domestic express parcels is 22kg, and the weight limit of international express parcels is 20kg.

Size restrictions: Packages for domestic and international express deliveries usually do not exceed a maximum length of 1.05m, a maximum cubic weight of 0.25m³, or a circumference of 140cm. For some special express services, such as eparcel on demand, the package size limit is no more than 50cm long, wide and high.

In addition, there will be special circumstances in the delivery service time, such as Christmas holidays and other special periods, Australia Post will adjust the service time, suspend or cut off some express services in advance.
